National Week of People with Intellectual and Multiple Disabilities

With the objective to raise awareness on society towards social inclusion, in allusion to the National Week of People with Intellectual and Multiple Disabilities celebrated from August 21st to 28th, we are proud to share the history of Bruno Jappe Camara, which with determination, enthusiasm and incondicional support from his family, conquered autonomy and protagonism on the labour market.

An opportunity that transformed his life.

To you Bruno, our admiration and gratitude.

This is yet another action of CAPACITAR - CTA-Continental's Inclusion Program for People with Disabilities.

National Week of People with Intellectual and Multiple Disabilities

The National Week of People with Intellectual and Multiple Disabilities is celebrated from August 21st to 28th.

This date was established by Law No. 13.585/2.017 and aims to develop content to make society aware of the specific needs of social organization and public policies, to promote the social inclusion of this population segment and to fight prejudice and discrimination.

The goal of this week is to encourage a debate on social inclusion and to combat discrimination and prejudice against people with disabilities. This year's theme is "Protagonism empowers and achieves social inclusion", which only comes to reaffirm the context of this movement, that is the importance of family participation in the life of people with intellectual and multiple disabilities.

In order to brighten your day and give you something to reflect upon, we share a message from our colleague Fabiana Wickert, Administrative Assistant in the Occupational Health sector.
